This, that and the other thing

There once was a young girl. She was an interesting girl in that you never knew what was going on in her head. She never talked to you about much of anything and was easy to boss around. Some said she had no personality. She mearly did what others asked her to do... in the obediance kind of way.
Others saw a very sensitive side of her personality. Once when she was in her van with her family, her family saw an old lady fall on the street and bonk her nose. Immediately her family turned to her and started to reassure her that the older lady was ok because they knew she was going to start crying, even though she didnt know the old woman.
As for imagination, this young girl must have had a wild one because her truest friends were ones who lived in her imagination. She saw her little palm sized friends and they travelled with her everywhere from Kindgarten to grade 6. She really saw them and they really did exist to her until she no longer needed them.
Growing brought forth a personality in her and she learned to say "no" to her older sister. Her sister wasnt too fond of that but it allowed her mother to let out a sigh of relief. She no longer had to worry that her little girl would grow to do whatever people wanted her to do.
She grew into a woman whose heart was a delicate thing. Many times she lacked the discernment she now wishes she had. It would have saved a lot of heart ache. However she learned that these lessons helped form her into who she now is. Strength comes through trials. And now she has it in abundance.
Life is a fun thing to reflect on. It can also be hurtful. However, it is neat to see how little ones come to be adults. And the change and learning just never stops.
